Timothy Schmidt has three recordings, “Purely Piano,” and “Purely Piano-Advent,” and “Music of the Baroque from Spain, France and Germany” which are regularly featured on radio broadcasts throughout the United States and abroad including Lutheran Vespers and the Protestant Hour of the Protestant Radio and Television Center. His recordings have won critical acclaim including the coveted “Angel Award” in Christian Broadcasting. He records for the DRP/ Sunset label of the Vantage Group, a division of Christian Network International in Nashville, Tennessee.
Timothy Schmidt is a member of the Music Teachers National Association, the Iowa Music Teachers Association, the North Iowa Music Teachers Association, and the Terrace Hill Endowment for Musical Arts. He has served in leadership roles at both the state and national levels including the Iowa Arts Council, Arts Midwest board, and the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies. Timothy Schmidt is currently listed in the Directory of Iowa Artists and Performing Groups and the Performing Artist Touring Roster of the Iowa Arts Council.
Timothy Schmidt served as Professor of Music and Piano at Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa, for over 33 years, where he is now Professor Emeritus of Music.
